Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) Announces Day of Giving on June 1 to Support Flooring Families in Need

The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) is calling on the flooring community to come together for its annual Day of Giving on June 1, a dedicated day of support for flooring families facing life-altering medical illness, injury, or disability. Through direct financial assistance, FCIF helps families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. To make a contribution or renew support for 2026, visit https://www.fcif.org/give.

As FCIF counts down to Day of Giving, the organization is inviting supporters to make a new gift or renew their support for 2026. Contributions can be made by both individuals and corporations, and every donation directly impacts families in need.

FCIF encourages the flooring community to participate in Day of Giving by:

  • Donating online at fcif.org/give
  • Mailing a check to FCIF, 855 Abutment Rd, STE 1, Dalton, GA 30721
  • Sharing support on social media using #FCIFDayofGiving
  • Utilizing FCIF’s digital toolkit to help spread awareness

For more than four decades, FCIF has provided direct financial assistance to individuals and families within the flooring industry during some of life’s most difficult moments. Through the generosity of donors across the industry, FCIF continues to offer critical support that helps families maintain stability while focusing on healing and recovery.

For Lukas and his family, the journey has included years of medical challenges met with incredible resilience. Born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, Lukas underwent his first surgery just 25 hours after birth. Since then, he has endured more than 13 surgeries along with ongoing therapies and daily medical challenges. For 26 years, Lukas’ father has worked in the flooring industry as a predictive reliability technician, balancing the demands of supporting his family while helping Lukas navigate his medical journey. Through assistance from FCIF, the family received a grant to help cover essential monthly utilities and provide Lukas with a custom adaptive bike.

That support has made a meaningful difference in Lukas’ life. With his adaptive bike, he can safely ride alongside his friends and experience greater independence, mobility, and confidence.

Peggy, Lukas’ mother, shared, “The Floor Covering Industry Foundation has been so generous in helping us meet Lukas’ needs and secure an adaptive bike so he can continue riding with his friends. We can’t say enough about how wonderful FCIF has been to work with throughout this process.”

As industry leaders rally behind the campaign, many are sharing why FCIF’s mission continues to matter across the flooring community. Max Holland, COO of FEI Group and FCIF Board Member, shared, “My commitment to the FCIF began early in my career, but it truly took shape after witnessing the passion of leaders like Keith Campbell and my late friend and mentor, Dave Ghesling. Serving on the Board since 2021 has been a profound honor. The FCIF plays a critical role in supporting industry families during their most challenging moments, and I’m inspired by our efforts to expand awareness and reach. I encourage anyone who cares about people and our industry to get involved.”

This Day of Giving, FCIF invites the flooring community to join us in showing up for families when they need it most.
