AHSG Members Raise $16,700 for FCIF
An incredible show of generosity at the recent American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG) & Commercial USA Member Summit in San Antonio resulted in $16,700 raised for the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) to support flooring industry families facing catastrophic illness, severe injury or disability.

“Our members include independent flooring retailers, commercial contractors, and supplier partners from across the country. They all share a connection to the people who make this industry work,” shared Brian Preuss, president of AHSG & Commercial USA. “When Scott Humphrey of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) shared FCIF’s mission from our stage, they gave $8,350 in just ten minutes. AHSG was proud to match that, bringing the total to $16,700 for flooring families in need.”
Humphrey, who serves as vice chair of the FCIF Board of Directors, in addition to his role at WFCA, shared FCIF’s mission and the growing demand for assistance among flooring industry families. Attendees responded immediately with individual gifts, which were generously matched by a corporate gift from Bob Himmelreich of Pro-Tech Floors. AHSG then matched the combined contributions, multiplying the impact of the generosity shown in the room.
The support comes at a critical time for FCIF. The Foundation has already awarded 100% of its 2026 grant budget to qualified flooring families, while demand for assistance continues. Contributions from industry partners like AHSG and Pro-Tech Floors help FCIF continue providing financial assistance for medical care and essential living expenses to families navigating life-changing medical crises.
