FCITS Expands Fall Training to Elevate Flooring Inspection Standards

Courses give flooring professionals the expertise and certification needed to reduce disputes, build trust, and protect consumers

Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Services (FCITS), the industry’s most respected certifying body for flooring inspectors, today announced its expanded fall training calendar. These courses provide flooring professionals, including retailers, contractors, and inspectors, the opportunity to advance their expertise, earn certification, and strengthen credibility in the industry.

Inspections once lacked consistency and credibility, often fueling disputes instead of resolving them. FCITS is raising the bar with rigorous training that delivers impartial, reliable results and helps retailers, mills, and consumers achieve better outcomes.

“Every inspection should be built on impartiality and expertise, not opinion,” said Beth Brown Sorrell, Executive Director of FCITS. “Our certification programs give flooring professionals the training they need to deliver accurate, trusted results—helping the entire industry reduce disputes and resolve issues fairly.”

For the first time, FCITS will be part of the Synergy Convention & Expo in Nashville, a fitting addition alongside CFI and FCICA in delivering education that spans installation, commercial flooring, and inspection. The LVT/LVP Claims and Inspection Class, held in conjunction with the event, is designed for any flooring professional—not just inspectors. Installers, retailers, and sales teams will gain valuable insight into what inspectors look for in LVP/LVT failures and how to prevent costly disputes.

Fall 2025 Training Schedule:

  • LVT/LVP Claims and Inspection Class – September 16, Nashville, TN (Synergy Convention & Expo) – Open to installers, retailers, sales teams, and inspectors
  • Commercial Flooring Inspector Certification Class – September 22–25, Dalton, GA
  • Ceramic Tile, Stone, and Glass Specialist Class – October 13–16, Location TBD
  • Feather Blending & Color Correction Class – November 3–5, Location TBD
  • Complete Inspector Certification Class – November 10–14, Dalton, GA
  • Concrete and Wood Moisture Testing Class – December 4–5, Dalton, GA

Participants consistently highlight the lasting value of FCITS programs, not only for inspections but for their broader careers. “I’ve been in the industry for over 40 years and thought I knew it all. After attending FCITS courses, I realized I wish I had taken them years ago—not just for inspections but to run my retail business better,” said Rick, a retailer from Chicago.

Space is limited; early registration is encouraged. For more information or to register for upcoming courses, visit the FCITS website.
