Jeff Lorberbaum entered his family business, Aladdin Mills, after graduating college in 1976. He was instrumental in Aladdin’s backward integration into fiber manufacturing. Aladdin grew to be the fifth largest carpet and rug manufacturer in the world. In 1994, Aladdin merged with Mohawk Industries. Jeff and his family have provided significant support to local, regional and national charities. The Mohawk Carpet Foundation provides annual support to more than 100 charities in a dozen states. Jeff was a leading advocate for the industry's involvement with the Carpet America Recovery Effort. Jeff's support of employee wellness has led to the implementation of Healthy Life Centers that provide no cost care for acute illness or chronic conditions for thousands of employees, spouses and dependent children. Jeff formalized the Mohawk Business Strategy to ensure a consistent philosophy that would permeate the organization and perpetuate key values that Jeff has championed.
